Whatever internet marketing system (product) you decide to focus you’re time, energy and money on, try not to get distracted.
If you’re new to internet marketing, you will find that you will be searching the web for information. You will sign up for free information on someone’s site or post a comment on a blog, leaving your name and email address behind.
I know, I’ve done it and I still do it.
Not only will you read about different internet marketing products and mentors from the web, you will start receiving information by way of email.
Most of the email that you will receive contains good valuable information. If you choose to stop the emails from coming, just click on the unsubscribe button. But that’s not really the problem.
The problem is after you have chosen the product or system you want to focus on, information overload can kick in.
I found myself spending too much time reading about different systems and products, when I should have been spending more time working on the system that I had already purchased.
That’s not to say that you shouldn’t purchase products that will benefit you and the system that you have decided to learn.
Don’t let yourself get distracted. You will make changes as you go, but stay with you’re initial course of action, after all most of these systems are not cheap.
Another thing I found myself doing was checking my affiliate statistics two or three times a day, hoping to see at least some impressions. If I happened to see a click (no money) I was all excited.
The truth is you will never get the second click or the one thousandth click before you get that first one. But constantly reading about new systems, checking your statistics two or three times a day on various affiliate websites is not going to make this happen any quicker. When in fact your just wasting valuable time. Time that should be spent writing articles, blogging or any other productive activity that will benefit the system you have already chosen.
One way to control this is to set aside a specific time period to read about new products and check your affiliate statistics. Personally I like doing this just before I go to bed after I have put productive time into my business.
Once you have made the decision to invest your time and money in a particular system, stay with it. You owe it to your self to give it an honest try before you decide to make any major system (product) changes.
